Does anyone know who I should contact about getting a bike rack inside of the garage? There is one on the property outside of the garage, unshelteted, and basically on federal street in the designated smoker area where employees and locals loiter. There is one pole Just inside the garage I can lock up to if I get in early. Yesterday I got here at 1pm and my spot was taken and I had to lock up outside. Other commuters lock up along the fence inside the garage cause they are all using cable locks (ugh). Wondering how easy it would be to get a rack put in. I could leave notes on other people's bikes to urge them to contact the correct person if I can get that info.

@stef, ask your office manager to contact either AGH Security or building maintenance. Your physician practice is essentially renting space at the hospital so think of it as a renter-landlord issue. You could also go the (bluehair) Ladies Auxiliary route and make a request for them to fund several bike racks as a way to encourage a healthier campus. I think the Aux ladies would really support this and they have tons of money to spend, and this would be the type of project that looks good in print and on the news.

I recently submitted a request through AGH suggestion portal to add another rack at the Sandusky St Garage. That was a week ago and I haven't heard back which makes me think they are looking into it (in the past suggestions have been answered promptly).
If you have access to AHN intranet I would suggest doing the same - hopefully the more requests they get the faster the racks will be installed.
(On a different note, I also suggested implementing the tax rebate for employees commuting by bike)

I was also thinking about the rebate. I submitted a request to do something about the employees smoking right by the Sandusky entrances and also asking to move the officially smoking area away from the Sandusky area. It is disgusting.

Got a response from the management today. An additional bike rack for Sandusky garage has been ordered. Commuter tax rebate suggestion got passed on to the HR.
