Well, I'm happy to announce that my short lived DinoRIDE can now evolve into a fully fledged Flock Ride.
As stated above, it'll be

Meet at Dippy around 5:30pm, leaving at 6

Hooray! This is great news. However, that time is a killer for me. Didn't previous Flocks depart at 6:30? It was a little tricky getting to Dippy then; it will be a serious challenge to get there before 6. Why the change?
Don't take this as a criticism, though. I am super stoked that Flock will continue. I just hope I can attend.
It's Just a slight adjustment, to keep it family friendly time-wise.

yeah that may be cutting it close as far as departure time goes. but we shall see.

Two things I remember/note, re: departure time...
1. On-time departures were rare.
2. Departures took enough time that the flock wasn't hard to find/catch up with (posting the first few turns might help).
I love Flock speed. I once dropped out of the Flock, went into a store, waited in line, made a purchase, used the restroom and then biked around the block and rejoined the Flock.
I like it because I'm really slow and hate hills!!

I'm pretty mcuh with rzod - the time is a killer for me. If it's 6 and it runs late, then maybe I can sometimes (not often) join in.
5:30? Never.
BTW, this time of year the sun doesn't set until almost 9. In late June, later times are family friendly, IMO.

I originally thought I had to be out of town that day, like I said yesterday... but I did some schedule shuffling, and now it looks like I can be there. YAY!
Did I see the flock making a return trip up Neville at just after 8pm tonight? I assumed it was a group of cyclists going to watch Men In Black in Schenley Park, but I guess maybe it was you people? I honked my horn (it sounds like a squeaky dog toy) at someone towards the front of the flock.
Edit: just so we're clear, I was on my bike (blue schwinn with baskets on the back).
Side note: despite it being a Wednesday night, the bike lane at Neville & Ellsworth was CAR FREE!

Bummer - my in-laws are visiting so I'll be hanging out with them. Hopefully next time!
For those not able to make the 6pm departure, there will be a second departure around 6:30pm at the 2nd Ave Park and Ride at the Elisa Furnace trail head

I plan on making it but it will be a challenge to get there in time. still I will attempt it. any chance of posting a route so if Im late I can try to catch up or at least meet you at the final destination.
