A flock of ducks are ducks. A flock of geese are geese. So a flock of cyclists would be... cyclists.
Flockers? Flockists?
What do you call those who flock?
Flockers?
Flockettes?
Flockists?
Flockistas?
Good to see many of you at OTB last night for a second.
Lyle - I think she's trying to come up with a word to differentiate the cyclists that flock from the cyclists that do not flock yet. And I thought a flock of geese was a gaggle...
I keep trying to figure out what I call those who flock, but can't come up with a word that differentiates them from others with that assignation that do not flock. "Friends", "Very Cool People", "Biking Buddies". I guess Flockers works, but I can't help but squirm because it sound so similar to that awkward movie series.
Veloflockenpürsen.
Little Flockers?
Herde von Radfahrern
...or
flocksters
Flockadians from the People's Republic of Outer Flockistan.
The Flockettes could be a breakaway group of members of the Herde von Radfahrern that perform stunning feats of bicycle based choreography.
See also the group with a rhyming name from the city that everyone loves to hate.
I really like the term Flockettes, but I personally don't think I sparkle enough to deserve such a moniker. I would of course strive to live up to it, should it be applied.
Flockadians seems like a reasonable choice, though Flocksters also appeals although it seems to have a more sullen connotation than I associate with the Flock.
We could go all Borg and just refer to each other as Flock. Nick could be Locutus. Resistance is Futile?

Flockonteur.
dback - there's a joke in there about Hotel California, but I just can't put my finger on it...

So, according to that page, a group of flockistitians should be called "a pace"?
Strangely, according to at least one source, the answer might be "gregarians" or "Gregories"....in the case of leaders (shepherds) or at least gregarious....

I say "flocker".
"excellent lovers".
Noah, did you tell Deena that?
if only...
Flockers, to answer the original question.
+1 Mick for flockistitians!
Flockers. And I told deena many things about Noah 440...
I love the word "flaneur", but it pertains to walking.
flocktarians?
Who gives a flock?!
Johnny Flockinouter!
Going by the theory that the adjective for a Hitchcock style movie is "Hitchcock-ian" that would make a person who flocks a "Flockian" or could. That could then be regionalized to "Flock yunz" in the plural.
When there's only three of them and they only go a few miles: A flocklet
When there's 50 of them and they go on a 4-hour 25-miler: A Motherflock (one rider: Motherflocker!)
i can't wait until the weather gets better and more people show. hoping i am feeling better by this coming friday night so i can participate. i am going through flock withdrawal.
I wear my flock shirt when I miss flocking...
Are there more of those?
My flock shirt doesn't fit over my other 4 layers in the winter.
I have an XXL left over...that should fit over all your layers. There are a few other sizes too. If I remember I'll post an inventory today.
