for those of us that enjoy long stretches of brand new pavement, on butler between 62nd and highland park is all new pavement as of tonight...ohhh it feels good.
can't speak for the whole street, but morewood between at least ellsworth and centre is all to' up from the flo' up. nice to see another cyclist-heavy street getting redone. now we just need negley and liberty, and we'll have to start looking for new things to whine about!

On a related note, looks like East Busway users are finally going to have a smoother ride:
Oval, HP bridge ramps, Butler... hoping this plague will creep up the Butler side of Stanton.
What a joy it was to come off Freeport Road inbound last week and discover fresh pavement on the HP bridge ramp!
On the flip, between 57th and 62nd was all scarfed and brutal. On a road bike it sucked, no shoulder, debris everywhere. Im sure its next to get paved, but it sucks now.
they're tearing up wellesley in highland park right now, presumably they will re-pave it. now if only they'd go around the corner and hit negley while they're at it...
construction/no parking signs on east lib blvd... i can't imagine what they're going to do though.
