Grant St Parking: What?

I thought all Pittsburgh Parking Authority garages, including the one at the Greyhound/Amtrak complex, were supposed to have daytime bike parking.

I went down there today to buy a Greyhound ticket. I asked three security guards and tried entering the parking garage by every entrance I could find. Nothing. I ended up locking up to a No-Parking sign (my favourite when I can't find a better hitchin post).

I swear I explicitly read that there is bike parking in there. Am I really dumb? Or is what I read a lie? If it's there, I think it should be better marked; if I couldn't find it, I'm sure that means a lot of other people can't either.

Hmm, sometime in the past six months, I rolled my bike right into the Amtrak station, I think leaving it unlocked between the sets of double doors, all while wearing my helmet and orange vest, conducted my transaction, and left, and nobody said boo to me.

But yeah, this is one of those places you'd think there'd be several multi-bike tie-ups.

And if you have the time, find out whose it is to make a decision about it, and get one of those cards to them.

it's one of the jokes around our office that the "transportation center" doesn't even have a bike rack.
