I Made It! Market Bike edition / bikeswap for bikefest

The I Made It! Market will be hosting a special market on saturday from noon to five at the Leslie park pool (4601 Butler) with bikes in mind. Vendors are encouraged to show their bike-related goods and they'll be hosting a bikeswap for parts, bikes and service as well. A portion of vendor proceeds will go to BikePGH.

I think it is during bikefest (August 7), not this weekend.

Here are a couple of questions -

How much is it for a space at the bike swap? It doesn't say anything on the Facebook page, and neither does the Google doc that asks for a bunch of information without saying the only thing I need to know.

What exactly is a "low percentage of profits" and does it mean a percentage of profits or a percentage of gross sales? Does this also apply to the bike swap?

This is pretty confusing text: "For the BikeSwap, we are asking that you pay before hand to secure your spot. For the I Made It! Market, we will present you with a vendor contract, as in past markets, for a low percentage of the profits."

Here's some info that might help:

Check out www.imadeitmarket.com and under Apply there is a page for the swap and market.

For I Made It vendors, 20% of sales goes to I Made It/Bike PGH

For the swap, $20 to reserve the spot up front, but no percentage taken out afterwards. I'm not sure about how much space though.

Contact nina@imadeitmarket.com with any questions

We're going to close registration in a week. Please, if you want to sell stuff register. We need to know how many people to expect who are going to try to sell their stuff.

For those who were interested in my bike-themed pottery, I'll have 10 new pieces available at the BikeFest swap, in addition to the 2 that I donated to the silent auction.

Mugs will be $35, serving bowls $50.

Check out the other pots in this Flickr set.
