interface issue?

I've tried three times to add a comment into NickD's passing thread. The first two times I typed the entry and hit submit, and it disappeared into the ether. No indication of the post on the site. The third time I tried to be clever, and made an initial post of "xxx" which took. Then I tried to edit the post to include my content, and when I did that the new post disappeared also. Help me, Mr. Wizard! (please) eta: 1922 local time, Firefox on XP, and I am signed in via my username.

Found a workaround. Pasted the post into the box, removed a URL and retyped it as words not URL. In other words (cue picture) hope that's of some help thanks! V.

The old board did that as well, a short post with a URL would sometimes get flagged as spam. Although, you have no way of knowing that's what happened unless an admin tells you.

Right, the old board did exactly that. The fix, when pasting the URL, is to add the "www." between "http" and the rest of the name.

_http://www.somedomain.com/ and _http://somedomain.com/ are two different URLs and domains. Granted the first one is sub domain of the second one but they are different. It's up to administrator of top domain to redirect to the sub domain it this is a policy of domain holder but it's not required and sometimes directly forbidden.
