Learn to ride class for adults

Inspired by another thread, I questions my "friends" on FB why they didn't ride a bike. It seems a common answer is, they just don't know how.

I remember talk on here about a class to teach adults to learn to ride bikes. Anyone have info?

Weell. I teach classes for the LAB but I don't have anything definitely scheduled at the moment. I'd be happy to teach if somebody wants to help with the organizing and publicity.

I know someone who might be interested in such a class, in case you're trying to gauge how much interest there might be. (What is LAB?)

I was just talking with a coworker about this. She was saying how much she wants to learn how to ride a bike. She'd like to buy a hybrid and get on the trails.

She told me that at one time there was a group meeting at Kingsley and that there was someone who would teach you how to ride at Highland Park, but that she never got around to going. Anyone know if this was PMTCC? She asked me if I knew about it and how to get involved again and I have no idea.

Geez, this thread makes me want to quit my job and travel around being a bike-riding-teaching monk.

Cburch is right on in saying that we "already have the infrastructure set up to connect people who want to learn with people to teach all sorts of things." Exactly!
