This takes place the same night as the message board meet up
But there will be several people attending the film and then riding to OTB for the meet-up.

The COUNTDOWN BEGINS. Velomuse is bringing you a screening of the Life Cycles film as part of their worldwide tour - in just ONE week! We've decided that the Melwood Screening Room is quite appropriate for the very specific film requirements. The capacity is 130 people and we'd like to fill it with this one-time screening of the film on BluRay with surround sound in a genuine cinematic experience - so pre-sale tickets are encouraged.
"It could be argued that the mountain bike community has been long overdue for a new style of film. Without being saturated in race footage, location and rider intros, Life Cycles achieves an aesthetically powerful, subtly political documentary. Philosophical commentary on the meaningful existence of a bicycle creates a sense of time and plot development, while retaining some sweet riding footage."
Who: Mountain Bikers, Cyclists and people who appreciate machined things juxtapose nature. All ages.

Holy cow the trailer is incredible. Might have to do.
if you want to see it and do the meet up i can just bring my ipad. i bought it on itunes a week ago. its INCREDIBLE btw.
Thanks for sharing that< Lolly - and everyone for their enthusiasm!
The film will start at 7pm, but the runtime is only about 45 minutes. It should only take about 10 minutes to get to OTB from there, down Craig street, left on Fifth for one Block, right on Neville to the Junction/Panther Hollow bike path and to Eliza Furnace trail. Across the Hot Metal Bridge and zig zag to OTB. We're going to include a portion of our profits as a donation to Bike Pittsburgh, as well.
Here's the flyer
yeah, seeing this on the big screen would be rad
definitely want to do both.
hmm... might convince hubby to do both. I could race him on my bike from the movie to OTB (He still doesn't have a bike, very distressing)
i plan on doing both and trying to drag as many people as i can from the screening to OTB melwood>bayard>neville>pht>hot metal is a quick and easy ride.
Hey, how is the bike parking at this Melwood place? places to lock?
Pittsburgh Filmmakers has several bike racks. Probably not a whole theatre's worth, though.
