Mellon Arena Transportation Survey

Seems they are looking to incentivize riding your bike to the arena.

It would be extremely cool if they had secure parking at the arena, especially if I could also stash my pack/helmet there...

I am a massive hockey nut.

The thing that really pisses me off when I luck out and get tickets is that they don't recycle anything. You can't even reuse your beer cups or bring your own. WTF Pittsburgh? Well over half of the waste generated could at least be recycled with almost no effort whatsoever

I don't have any references, but recycling is mandatory in the city and I would assume Mellon Arena is not excepted. Everything goes in the same cans but they probably sort it later.

I really hope they sort it later. I'm sure I've seen that at bars as well, just tossing bottles in the trash with food scraps, etc. There might be a difference in city residential collection versus private waste disposal companies for businesses, where the private collectors also sort the materials later at a processing plant. I just can't imagine bartenders picking out glass bottles at the end of a long night, so "we sort it later" seems improbable.

Took the survey. Secure parking for 10 bikes would be a good starting point. Even Portland only gets 10-20 bikes to their arena for Trailblazer games.
