BEAVER, Pa. -- A biker was found dead in Brady’s Run Park Sunday afternoon, police said.

Robert Anderson, 44, was riding his bike down a steep trail when he lost control, flew over the handlebars and struck a rock.

Police said Anderson was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, but he was dead by the time paramedics arrived on scene.

The Beaver County coroner is expected to release an autopsy report on Monday.

Anderson, who is from Maine, was visiting his mother, who lives in the area.

With this, and that other story, I can't help but feel terrible for the kids, too :( They're so young.

Important reminder from the folks at PORC: never mountain bike alone -- especially on unfamiliar trails!

Does anybody know exactly what trail this happened on? I've ridden down some descents there that scared the poop out of me, but I really enjoyed them.

that is a real shame. just goes to show the inherent risks of riding even with a helmet. That said I think brady's run is a great place to ride and not overly dangerous.

that said.. go out doing what you love.
