OT: Tailor reccomendation

Not really related to bikes, but I know this board has some classy folks--I am looking for a tailor to make some alterations to a suit.

Recommendations?

Nick,

When I lived in Pittsburgh my wife and I had a bunch of tailoring done by the guy on Shady on the other side of Forward from Allderdice. The place is called Destilo I think. Sal is the owner. He'll set you up just fine.

And just to make this post more bike relevant. I had an EVIL Timbuk 2 saddle bag where the velcro strap ate a hole in the leg of several pairs of my very nice and expensive bib shorts. (What can I say? I kept thinking I could close it correctly. Finally threw it out.) Sal sewed in some patches for me and it's like they never had a hole unless you look at it. He did a great job.

I recently used Irene's Tailoring in Squirrel Hill on Murray next to the 61c to have a 3/4 zipper replacement done on a jersey. She did a good job for 20.

I usually go to the lady at the farmer's market beside home despot in 'sliberty. She's really affordable, though it's a drop off / pick up next week (or later)kind of thing (no fitting, no "just wait while I..."). She did a nice job repairing a beat up quilt I had that I didn't think would turn out. I think she technically goes by Blue Rose Creations, but she's the lady beside the amish jellies, with all the quilts and stuffed animals. Near christmas she's super busy making custom quilts that are popular for gifts (any design, any fabric, any size, any pattern, pretty cool). She does clothing things, mending and hemming and stuff too.

It warms my heart to see people in tailored suits

I've seen more guys with six figure salaries and suits/dress shirts that make them look like six year old boys than I'd care too
