I'm seriously bummed about the rash of stolen bikes in Morningside these days.
* Updated to add "bikes" so my post actually made some sense.
Someone stole my commuter bike this morning. I'm pissed, like really pissed. Here are the details:
time: 8am-9am
place: chislett st, morningside (next to highland park)
bike: 07 se lager. brown frame, black bullhorn bars, grey tires/silver rims. has a dorc sticker on the seat tube, and a small thick sticker on the top tube along with a one less car sticker on the right seatstay and an urban velo sticker on the left seatstay. Black selle italia saddle on a carbon post, ritchey double sided spd pedals and ultegra brake arches. had a clip on fender and a couple knog frog lights on it too.
heres a catalog shot...
Reward if returned unharmed. Seriously, i love that bike.

Yeah, but a rash of stollen would be kinda cool. If only we could find the thief and feed him fruitcake until he repents.
Where on Chislett? I ride home all the time on Chislett, and walk the dogs down there daily. I'll keep an eye out.
Did you have this bike locked up? If so, how?
I work with cburch. He put the bike on his porch before leaving for work, got distracted inside and when he came out it was gone.
i live right across from st raph's parking lot. got ready to take an early ride, went inside for a minute, got distracted, went back outside around 9 and it was gone. the bike was out there for an hour tops and i was right inside.
stupid me, yes. but it still took one extra scumbag to actually steal it. i couldn't do that all by myself...
That stinks. I often see your bike locked up on the porch when I'm riding home (I live on the other end of Jancey).
I've always been pretty lazy about keeping my bike outside for a bit when I get home from work, but that has changed in recent months.
Sorry to hear, it's a distinctive ride, I'll keep an eye out for her. Stupid d-bag thieves.
