Remind Bruce that the downtown Y is doing a huge Turkey Trot 5k and 5 mi run on Thanksgiving AM that is going to clog up the area from the stadiums to the point and up the Blvd.

Sorry I can't make these rides, have fun. I miss you guys!

PMTCC members get extra 5% (or 10%?) at Performance Bicycling store anytime when PMTCC event is initiated at Performance Bicycling parking lot. and you have to be a member to get this discount.

Man, so sad I didn't make it to this. Woke up late feeling gross and have a ton of work to do since it's getting close to finals week. And it looks like such a nice day, too. Are there going to be more rides like this anytime soon?

^The last ride I did with them in December was about 18 miles at a moderate pace with frequent stops. Expect the front to go around 17mph on the flats & a little slower toward the back - thus the need for freq stops to regroup. It's a fun bunch of folks too.

Since there is no bicycle intimidation law in PA and the city cops are less than helpful, the best we could do is to report him to yellow cab, but they too have been less than helpful in the past. I dunno – I’ll let it be your call. For those not on the ride; the cabbie in vehicle 1000 came up behind us as we rolled up to a red light and started blaring his horn while his female passenger yelled derogatory comments at us. The rider immediately beside me was very startled and almost wrecked as a result. I (as is habit) responded & tried to get his photo. He was a small framed African-American about 60 years old. He definitely has anger issues.

Is "Pittsburgh Cab Company, Inc" the same as "Pittsburgh Yellow Cab" ? The last time I was buzzed by a Yellow Cab, I sent the description of the incident, including vehicle number, to joycelee@pghtrans.com at 1210 am; I got a response at about 0830 from that address copied to GDelk@pghtrans.com, JCampolongo@pghyellowcab.com, and jarmstrong@pghtrans.com :
Thanks very much for letting us know about this incident. With the information you gave us, we can track who was driving the vehicle, and will bring the driver in for counseling. We appreciate your taking the time to write us. Concerned citizens like you really do make a difference.
Not sure if it does in fact "make a difference", but it seems like it can't hurt? FWIW, Campolongo apparently is Vice President of Yellow Cab: http://www.pghtrans.com/contactus.cfm?pageid=40 Alternatively, cabs in PA are regulated by the Public Utility Commission, so you could just file a complaint directly with the state: https://www.puc.state.pa.us/consumer_info/transportation/motor_carrier/limos_taxis_movers/taxi_complaint_form.aspx

May ride a bit at the start and head back, dunno. Much depends on when my wife's car is ready at the shop, and how Sunday shapes up in terms of other plans with the kiddies.

Sorry, Stef, just noticed your question (I was on "All neighbor ride" nad then some final preps for 3 States ride). http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3122861 -- for 100 miles (actually 96). PS I've managed to ride 100 (went back over HMB-EFT) and then, after waiting for people I rode another 26. So total 126 (a little bit over 200k).
