Ian Dudas (aka Big Ian) posted to FB that a bike was stolen from a Port Authority rack this morning.

STOLEN BIKE ALERT!!!! PLEASE SHARE!!!

This bike was stolen off the front of a PAT bus this morning. Bike was on a 61C travelling inbound. Was removed from the rack by someone other than the owner somewhere between Duquesne and Downtown.

Please share and lock it up if you see it!!!

Blue 48 cm Torker U-district (mens frame) , sparkley blue seat, blue deep-v wheels, blue bar tape, black rear rack with Urban Velo on flat top of rack, shimano clipless pedals, single speed.

Looks just like this photo except for the addition of a blue koki boki pannier bag. I will try to upload the photo. But, it’s basically all blue…..frame has stickers, should be easy to spot.

Please post pics, will keep an eye open for it. Interested in seeing who would have the audacity to do this, as infuriating as it is.

The bus should have video. Have the owner contact PAT as soon as possible so they can secure the tape/file. It was most likely someone who was on the bus and got off so there should be multiple cameras that hopefully would have captured a face shot.

Via twitter: “If she hasn’t already done so, the owner should call [PAT] police dept as soon as she is able to: 412-255-1385”

Update for Tuesday: BIKE WAS LAST SEEN WITH AN AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE. DREADS WITH BLONDE TIPS. ABOUT 5’10 170 POUNDS.

If you see the bike, call 911, please. (That’s how police are taking virtually all calls these days.)

a 5’10” person on a 48 cm bike? At least he’ll eventually develop knee problems from riding it.

Wow, stolen from a bus rack. I am pretty speechless about that one.

Hope you get the bike back. Sure are one heck of a lot of thefts these days.

Great news……bike was recovered last night!

All I know is the location was somewhere in Squirrel Hill.
