Three Rivers Heritage Trail temporary detour, 6 am-midnight 9/30

North Shore Trail Detour for Friday, September 30

Riverlife announces the following detour for the Three Rivers Heritage Trail along the North Shore, in effect from 6 am to midnight on Friday, September 30, 2011. Please refer to the above rendering of the detour route:

-Trail traffic heading upriver/east will be detoured at the North Shore Great Lawn. Detour route will extend up the ramp to the upper promenade by the Del Monte Building. Detour continues along the upper promenade to the ramp near the Water Steps feature. Detour extends down the ramp and takes a left turn to resume upriver along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail.

-Trail users accessing the North Shore from the Fort Duquesne Bridge bike/pedestrian ramp should note that this detour will affect the ramp that connects the upper promenade in front of the Del Monte Building to the lower riverfront trail. Trail users will be able to access the lower riverfront trail by heading upriver or downriver along the upper promenade until reaching an alternate ramp.

-Directional detour signs will be placed on the trail the morning of September 30.

As with any trail detour, trail users should exercise caution.
