“Drive With Care” Goes National… Again!

PeopleforBikes and BikePGH Style Guidelines

New guide offers our popular ad campaign to communities nationwide

In 2013, after a series of cyclist deaths, Bike Pittsburgh developed a campaign with Wall-to-Wall Studios that sought to humanize people on bikes. By depicting biking members of the local community, the ads stressed that people on bikes are our family, friends, and neighbors, and that therefore all road users should take care on the streets. We named the campaign Drive With Care. It was so successful that advocacy group PeopleForBikes adopted it for a series of national ads called Travel With Care the following year.

Now we’ve partnered with PeopleForBikes to share this important campaign with communities in order to improve bike safety and relations with other vehicles on the road. A newly produced style guide will make it easier for local groups to produce their own ads for maximum impact. You can check it out here!
