We all know how important it is to be visible at night, but no one wants to look like a biking traffic cone. Our stylish solution? Stop by Banker Supply Co. in East Liberty and pick up a set of Fiks:Reflective wheel stripes to keep your commuter friends lit.

The urban cycling store is owned by Nick Drombosky, a Pittsburgh native who launched Fiks:Reflective with a Kickstarter campaign back in 2011.

The Sunny Day Rider

Shopping for a friend who wears more spandex than street clothes? We know the feeling. No matter how serious they are about their sport, everyone appreciates a good bike fit!

Local experts like Todd Hunter, Thick Bikes, Big Bang Bicycles, and UPMC Sports Medicine can help your friends avoid hindering pain and long-term injuries.

Bikes for Tikes

Forget the training wheels – teach the tots in your life to ride with a Balance Bike! Many kids are nervous when they have to learn the act of balance on a traditional bike. Balance bikes allow them to master the skills for two wheels without the fear of falling – meaning more fun times on their bike!

You can buy a Balance Bike from both Kindred Cycles in the Strip and Iron City Bikes in Lawrenceville/Oakland.

The Gift of Safe Cycling

Your loved ones deserve to be safe when cycling on our city’s streets. So why not give the gift that not only helps them, but all of their friends – a BikePGH Membership! Membership is a great way to get involved in Pittsburgh’s cycling culture, meet other cyclists, and know that you are supporting safer streets. On top of that, members get great discounts at participating bike shops and businesses around town.

Important: When you checkout, you’ll be able to choose where to send the gift membership. We’ll send it to you if you want to give the gift in person or as a stocking stuffer. If you want us to send it, we’ll include a courtesy card, that we are happy to customize, saying who the gift was from. Also, if you want us to send it on a specific date, just let us know when you check out.

Order your Gift Membership by December 16 to ensure delivery by the 25th. We’ll be happy to fill the order after the 16th, just know that it may not arrive in time for the holidays.
