BikePGH Awarded Platinum level Bicycle Friendly Business

And the Award goes to….

After applying to the League of American Bicyclists’ Bicycle Friendly Business program, Bike Pittsburgh was awarded a Platinum level Bicycle Friendly Business! The award is presented only to businesses with remarkable commitments to bicycling.

The Bicycle Friendly Business Program is based on the belief that bikes are good for businesses, employees, and the community. Businesses are recognized for their efforts through an award system based on four essential elements to being bicycle friendly: Engineering, Education, Encouragement, and Evaluation & Planning.

The League of American Bicyclists is the nation’s oldest bicycle advocacy organization, leading the movement to create a Bicycle Friendly America for everyone. We believe that, when more people ride bikes, life is better for everyone. Our three areas of focus, People, Places, and Policy, all support this belief. The League is bringing together the most passionate, action-oriented people to lead the movement.

BikePGH’s employee engagement initiatives create a healthier, happier, more creative and more engaged workplace. Check out our Wellness Offerings below for ways to share the benefits of biking
