Save the dates for our Summer Slow Roll Series

Join us for a friendly, no-drop, community bike ride this summer

BikePGH’s Slow Roll series is gearing up for its second season and everyone is welcome to participate! We created the series last year to bring together students and alumni of our youth cycling program (Positive Spin) on two wheels. This year we are expanding our reach and inviting all people on bikes to join in and enjoy the ride.

Slow Roll is for everyone! All ages and experience levels are welcome. Our family-friendly pace keeps everyone safe and gives riders a unique perspective of our great city. Whether you ride mountain bikes, do cross country bike trips, or simply get together with your friends and like to ride around your neighborhood, you are welcome to join!

This summer we are celebrating ten years of BikePGH’s Positive Spin youth cycling program through 3-part series of slow roll group rides. We are hoping for many of our Positive Spin alumni and friends/family to be in attendance. Come spend time with Positive Spin Alumni & Friends during our 3 part Slow Roll Series!

Call for Youth Groups to Participate

Our Youth Cycling Program (Positive Spin) is celebrating its ten year riding anniversary this summer! In light of a decade of youth engagement, we would like to take this time to build community with additional youth cycling programs in Pittsburgh.

We realize that there are so many youth cycling groups all over the city. Many of them don’t even know that some of the other groups exist. We want to close the gap and build community amongst the young bikers of greater Pittsburgh through a series of group rides.

Join us on the road and invite your friends, families, partners, and even sponsors to come as well. The more riders we have on the rides, the safer we are on the road. To rsvp and reserve a bike and a helmet email devaughn@bikepgh.org.

More about Positive Spin

Positive Spin is a youth cycling program that teaches youth the skills they need to explore their neighborhood on two wheels and stay safe while doing so. It provides the opportunity for youth to experience the freedom granted by a bicycle, improves self-confidence and teaches self-reliance, and integrates healthy activity into everyday life. Over the past ten years, the positive spin curriculum was shaped and molded to serve multiple Pittsburgh Public Schools and organizations here in the city.
