Walk Ride Northside (WRNS), the bicycle/pedestrian advocacy committee of the Northside Leadership Conference (NSLC), is poised to launch the “We Like Bikes!” – Northside bike friendly business program. This new program aims to raise ridership in the Northside, increase the bicycle safety and friendliness of the Northside, and encourage people to support local businesses.

Participating businesses will offer free water and restroom access to riders, and will provide various repair tools, such as tire pumps, tire irons, chain tools, patch kits, and screwdriver/wrench multi-tools, for riders to utilize. Founding business partners are Allegheny City Brewing, Arnold’s Tea, Brugge on North, Café on the Corner, California Coffee Bar, Chateau Café and Cakery, City Books, Kaffeehaus, Penn Brewery, Spring Hill Brewing, Threadbare Cider House, and Young Brothers Bar. The program will likely expand to include more business partners in the future.

A We Like Bikes! decal will be prominently placed in the windows of participating businesses.

This program will create a reliable Northside network of safe havens for riders in need
