The Carnegie Library photo archives have some really awesome pics of that bridge (and the valley beneath it that has since been filled-in) on the interwebs. Really excited for this project!
butler st closures at heth's run
looks like they are finally getting started on the heath's run rehab project. i got this email from my state rep yesterday:
Highland Park Drilling to Effect
Route 8 (Butler St.)Traffic
I would like to make you aware that weekdays starting today through early December there will be alternating lane closures on Route 8 (Butler St. near the Pittsburgh Zoo) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The work is being done in preparation for replacing the Heth’s Run Bridge which carries Route 8 over Heth’s Run.
Please be careful when traveling through this area, and keep the closures in mind during your travels.
i can't wait for that shit parking lot and slag heaps to get revamped into a park and green parking. that whole area is going to be so much better.
