I still don't understand why people think it is a bad thing to give roads a diet and add bike lanes when set up properly. Wouldn't that make drivers and cyclists happier? Glad to see the progress made in NYC. I hope the bike share happens soon. When I was in NYC, I was insanely jealous of alll of the public transit options. I don't understand why anyone would want or need a car in that city.

fewer lanes = fewer options for drivers. Slower traffic means "I can't get there as fast." People don't like being told they must slow down, and they really don't like having option taken away. It's unamerican to take options away, even if it will save a few lives. FREEDOMZ!!!11.

I just hope we get to benefit from a bigger, older sibling paving the way. I hope we don't have to wait 23 years to get some of the stuff they're getting. Go BPGH!!
