Flock of Cycles is riding to the Science Center!!!!!
We're meeting at Dippy at *6pm* and departing at 6:30 — and this month we're ending the ride at the Carnegie Science Center's aptly-themed "Bikes: Science on Two Wheels" 21+ night!
PLEASE INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!
More details below...
--What is a Bike Party?--
A Bike Party is a welcoming, family-friendly, all-inclusive, FREE event consisting of a leisurely-paced bicycle ride (complete with music and mechanical support) and ending with a post-ride party.
The group pedals through the city at a slow, welcoming pace appropriate for riders of all ages and capabilities. You get a chance to make new friends, learn new routes, and have fun on your bike!
--Where?--
We'll meet at Dippy the Dino (on Forbes Ave in Oakland, in front of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, across from the Cathedral of Learning).
--When?--
We'll meet at 6pm and leave at 6:30pm.
(Won't be off work in time? We'll post the route later so that you can catch up with us along the way.)
--How long is the ride?--
Around 8-10 miles.

--Where does the ride end?--
This ride will end at Carnegie Science Center's 21+ Night, which this month just happens to be BIKE-themed! (How perfect, right?) Here's more info about that event:
http://www.carnegiesciencecenter.org/programs/adult-programs-21-plus-night/
Tickets are normally $10 in advance and $15 at the door, but thanks to the kind people at the Science Center, we'll be able to offer Flock riders the $10 pre-registration price at the door.
They'll have a cash bar, and snacks will be available for purchase as well.
Note: If you aren't 21, you are welcome to ride with us as always, but like the "21+" title implies, the post-ride Science Center event is only open to those of legal drinking age. And they will be carding, so don't forget your ID!
--What should I bring?--
Helmets. Lights. A bike to put those lights on. Cash and your ID. And all your friends!
--What happens in the case of rain/snow/zombie apocalypse?--
On the afternoon of the ride, we'll decide whether conditions are safe enough to ride. Look for updates here, on Twitter, and on our website a couple of hours before the start of the ride if things are looking sketchy.
