Polish Hill Bike Lanes

This is cool. Looks like the plan is to put some bike lanes on brereton where the street parking is not utilized (between 28th st bridge and 30th st (where street parking starts).
Sharrows will be used to deliniate the official bike routes where the bike lanes cannot fit. They will be installed on Herron ave, dobson st, and parts of brereton st.

Last weekend the community did some work and weeded, painted, and fixed up the dobson st stairs. Looks like lots of folks helped out with that. The Polish hill community is good at DIY, they are not just waiting for someone else to fix it.

i ride through polish hill most every weekday on the way to or from work, and i'm excited to see they're doing stuff like this. i loved the diy crosswalks, too, and it's great to see this stuff going in.
i wonder how to discourage the vehicular traffic using it as a "shortcut", though. streets, like melwood/gold way and dobson, that should be extremely low traffic, often seem to abound with folks speeding through like it was a highway.

"Taming" Gold Way is a huge priority of the PH community.
Excited to see a new neighborhood get some lanes.
