Simply getting enforcement on existing limits will be a gargantuan task

Why would that be? If police are not allowed to use radar, they can use a camera and some computer software.

It would require political will, which simply does not exist. Your above screen cap is from immediately after Susan Hicks was killed. Discussed at length on this board at the time. Lots of packed rooms, protest signs, memorial rides. Result? Not a damned thing of any substance. Well, yeah, we did get a bike lane along Forbes, but nothing about speed enforcement.

Speed enforcement on non-highway roads by non-highway patrol is near impossible in PA without local radar/laser. And last legislative session the bill came the closest to passing out of any of the other years it was proposed, but with randy vulakovich out of the legislature I think it won’t come up again unless someone else takes up the mantle.
Plus, Forbes has been re-designed already without any speed mitigation features…

So, ain’t nothing changing, I fear.
