I recently came across an article in CyclingTips about a website that uses your Strava data to tell you how many unique miles/kms you’ve ridden while tracking your rides on Strava. It’s called Wandrer:
What’s cool is that it can go drill down to small towns and even neighborhoods in larger cities. For example, it tells me I’ve ridden 41.6% of the roads in Pittsburgh and 12% of the roads in Allegheny County. It also tells you how many new kms you do on a particular ride, and highlights where they are. Finally, apparently the site tries to exclude designated highways and interstates from its available roads to ride.
Can’t help but think that Danny Chew would love this. I don’t know what the catch is for providing your data, but it seems fairly innocent. Have fun!
