Bike lanes from South Hills Trolley Stop

Hello all, I am writing a paper for school that I am fully getting behind. Here is a petition that I have posted in Trek Of Pittsburgh stores and Pittsburgh Pro South Hills.

Dear Mayor Ravenstahl and Chief Executive Onorato,
Please help the people of Pittsburgh who chose to commute by bicycle by installing bicycle/walking paths along the trolley lines from South Hills Village mall to Station square. By doing so, you would be giving us a viable option to commute by bicycle into the city instead of driving. The bicycle/walking lanes would provide 9.75 miles of safe, flat and easily accessible means of transport.

The trail would hook a left at route 51 and follow the old rail lines right into the Wabash tunnels into the South Side. Think about how good this could be for everyone. I’ll hear what anyone has to say or advice. I’ll send anyone a copy of the proposal paper that I’m in the prosess of writing(due soon). Please let me know what you all think of it by posting a response or email me directly with pertinante information. Please email me at
Keep the Rubber side down hommies!!!
