So if we are ending at OTB does that mean we shouldnt bring post ride snacks/refreshments? If so that’s ok, I’m just asking.

oh, good. haven’t had time to make anything.

(but i do have a costume of sorts)

whoohoo, costumes!

Or at least look silly enough that people think it’s a costume. The danger would be in not looking silly enough so people think it’s serious.

I once went to a Halloween party wearing a three-piece suit … turned entirely inside out, including the necktie. Nobody noticed.

I don’t think anyone will notice my “costume” tonight either.

It’s a beautiful day for a bike ride, great day to wear a costume while riding a bike also.

I’m doing my absolute best to get out of work and get to the ride before it leaves. If the off chance I am running 10 min behind, can the leader (Mr M? right?) PM me a cell # to catch up? If not, I have Stu, but I don’t think he ususally carries his on the rides.

Thanks!

Based on the route around the Phipps / Flagstaff / CMU, with an arrival time of +15 min after 6, the best bet would be to catch up at the Forbes & Craig intersection (the other end of the library/museum block.)

Plus there’s good standing area to avoid waiting on the street.

I will, but am taking a circuitous route to get there. As I sit, I’m downtown. At 5 I’ll bike to Millvale where the car sits. Then I’ll drive to some meter-less spot in Schenley Park, hop on bike (carrying costume), and hopefully make it to Dippy by 6. I have to be in Cranberry by 10, so will not be hanging around OTB.

@ shawn getting and making phone calls during the ride is hard. We posted the route to help those who show up late to catch up. Pbeaver is correct we make a loop around CMU to give late comers a chance to meet us on Craig St that is near the start of the ride.

Believe it or not I received more positive feed back about my playlist than negative. So you know what that means….

Nice ride mr. m. I think semi-corking a few intersections made things flow much better & was probably safer too. Thanks to all who came, had a good time.

Thanks, Mr M. Loved the music. Enjoyed meeting some of the Flock. Had a good time. Doesn’t get much better.

Thanks to all who showed up and made it a good time and especially thanks to mr. marvelous for organizing and hauling that trailer all the way back home while we enjoyed ourselves at otb.

Another fun ride! And because of the various outlandish costumes, I now know who/what Deadmau5 is.

You guys are making me smile.

Special thanks to Ian and Pearmask, thanks for all the hard work you two have done. Flock would not be a success without your hard work.

There will be a ride in November, if we get a large enough group we will continue the ride through the winter. If you Love Flock get the word out about the November ride.

It was nice meeting a few new people.

Marv, I forgot about you hauling that trailer home. I should have offered to haul it. Sorry.

Also my first group ride, and I had a great time! Big thanks to Mr Marvelous and Pearmask! Can’t wait to see everyone again real soon.

Marv, the music sounded better after the trailer sound system broke. Sorry! But other than that, mr president, everything was great.

I was asked every 30 seconds which way the ride was going.

I don’t think people bothered to look at the route. I didn’t. Sorry

I was asked every 30 seconds which way the ride was going.

I think that’s the risk you take when you combine the Captain America costume with your dynamic and evident leadership; people just think, Damn, a leader, what do I ask him? and usually directions are all they can come up with.

It’s the lesson of SpiderMan and his uncle all over again: With great power…

Take it as a compliment. #Really.
