After I posted this question I took my fork off to see how everything works (headset bearings etc. and I see where they used spacers to make the headset even with the top of the steerer tube. I knew that you often have to cut down threadless steerer tubes but didn’t know you do that for threaded ones. Duh.
So, if you buy a threaded fork, you can keep your bars higher if you don’t cut it down much and use spacers?
