How not to respond to road rage, apparently

A few years ago, downtown, I left the office (on Smithfield) and was sitting at the light at the Blvd of the Allies. A guy in a pick-up (hmmm, pattern?) pulls up next to me and proceeds to tell me, over and over again, that he was going to run me over, and if he hit another bike, the cops were going to put him away for a long time. This lasted for the length of the light. When he was finished, I just smiled and waved. He tore off, presumably to find another cyclist to hit.

I think this city needs more sunshine and spring to hit, pronto. A month or two ago, Steevo pointed this out on his blog, I think. People are fed up and taking it out on each other.

That doesn’t excuse the behavior, of course.
