Interested in riding your bike while helping urban youth? The MGR Foundation is looking for a Program Assistant who is interested in working with 9th graders in an after-school program called MGR Foundation Youth Cycling: Positive Spin. Positive Spin is an exciting health, wellness, and mentoring program offered by the MGR Foundation for Pittsburgh’s high school youth. During this program, we intend to break down the barriers of unhealthy life-styles, lack of positive adult role models, and neighborhood seclusion. The Program Assistant will lead group building activities, after-school programming, and bicycle rides throughout the city with the assistance of the Program Coordinator. The Positive Spin program will be implemented at University Prep, a new Pittsburgh Public High School.

Applicants must have experience cycling in the city, knowledge of bicycle maintenance, and have previous experience working with youth. The Program Assistant must be committed to helping urban youth and be able to safely and responsibly lead student bicycle rides through the city. Criminal background clearances will be required.

Please send all resumes and inquiries to amy@mgrf.org
