“We Need Bigger Sidewalks to Avoid the ‘Pedestrian Crush'”
there’s a video showing 34th and 7th ave in NYC, and exactly how crowded they get. There’s also a good comparison as to how much space is taken up by pedestrians, cyclists, transit, and cars.
This seems like what we see in the Strip on saturdays here.
When I went to NYC. I remember canal st. was so crowded. It was like the strip district x20. That area could really benefit from wider sidewalks.
Not at all OT. In fact, if you haven’t seen this Streetfilms video about Park Ave, now would be a good time.
