Of potential interest to people who regularly walk or bike in Lawrence County

Lawrence County has recently completed a “multimodal” corridor assessment for key highways in northern Lawrence County.  Although not labelled as such, this is an effort to create a “complete streets” strategy for roadways in six mostly rural townships in the County, including one that is a State Bike Route.

The Plan is currently available for public review and comment.  It can be found at: http://co.lawrence.pa.us/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Law-Co-MM-Study-Draft-Plan_91118.pdf

This is a great opportunity to look at what the county has identified as the pedestrian and cycling connection needs of the area, and their priorities for addressing those needs – and for commenting on those recommendations.

If you live, work, walk or bike in that area (including north suburban New Castle, and the college town of New Wilmington), I encourage you to check it out between now and the end of October, when the public comment period will close.
