Snow Riding Techniques

← Back to Forums

I don’t know what you guys got down in Pittsburgh, but up here in Ambridge we got a few inches on the road. Right out of the driveway I did a 180 (not on purpose) going down a little hill. Unfortunately I didn’t learn my lesson and when going down another hill I tried to make a 90 degree turn and the bike came out from under me. I also got a small pen sized hole in a week old pair of $80 Pearl Izumi pants. :'( Just shows how much of an “extreme” rider I am… Anyhow, any snow riding suggestions? FTR: I think I was only using my back brake, so obviously using both would be preferred, but my front brake is really squeaky when wet. Any suggestions for that or a good snow riding technique would be appreciated.
