In the midst of this tragic incident of Rui Hui Lin being killed on his bicycle is an even more tragic story, he leaves behind a pregnant wife and 5 year old daughter (http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09217/988590-53.stm). How can we as a community help his wife and child in this time of need? Specifically, I feel that there is a need for a memorial fund or fundraisers to provide some sort of financial stability to his wife and daughter. What are your thoughts and ideas?
I don’t think it’s a bad idea. If someone wants to take the lead on this, I can provide some contacts with the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs. The Pittsburgh Chinese Restaurant Association (PRCRA) may be doing something, as well, though I’m not sure.
