Yesterday I had two unexpected and very pleasant encounters with people at Edgewood Town Center. I wasn’t even on my bike at the time! I had driven there to run errands, and I was wearing my blue Bike Pittsburgh t-shirt with the words “3 Rivers, 2 Wheels, 1 Voice” on the back.
First one of the baggers in Giant Eagle tapped me as I was leaving. She said, “Ma’am, I really like the message on the back of your shirt. That’s great.”
Then, the cashier in the liquor store saw the front of my shirt and said, “Pretty exciting these days, huh?” We chatted, and it turns out he commutes form East Liberty to Edgewood by bike.
