I recently quit smoking after about 4 years at a pack a day. Never stopped riding, not really, until about the last 6 months of those four years. Am now back on the bike, and remembering how I am genetically unable to ride easy, but still loving every minute of tires rolling along.
Work at the U and live in Brighton Heights. Don't do the commute via two wheels nearly as much as I should. Sit in my office all day thinking about how to get out early to ride.
Two bikes currently (eagerly looking to add more):
2003 Douglas Fusion (carbon & alu road bike) - This is my daily ride, my racer, my second home...and the carpet matches the drapes (i.e., blue tires/blue frame).
1980's Schwinn Peloton (one of the last great steel Schwinns, made proudly in Japan by Panasonic). This is my single speed/fixie project...mostly functional...just need to dish the rear wheel...ongoing no doubt.
Looking for riding/training/racing partners who like myself love to ride and have the unfortunate tendency to ride really hard (not fast, but hard). Or anyone really. Looking forward to my first big test back on two wheels and pink lungs - the Dirty Dozen.
