West Carson road work
Construction crews dug out seemingly random portions of the roadway on West Carson between the West End Circle and the Corliss Tunnel going outbound. No sign as to what they are doing, but it's a bit of a hazard on a bike (or car for that matter).

I came through there about 6:30 last night, and there were emergency vehicles all over the place in the OB lane, about 100 yards beyond the last overhead railroad bridge. Looked to me like a wreck -- a fire truck & ambulance were present, complete with stretcher -- but I couldn't tell who or what tangled with what else.
