Rampaging Driver Runs Down Four Cyclists In SF
http://www.ktvu.com/news/23776404/detail.html
4 cyclists hit by the same driver in different locations in SF. Apparently the flip-flop was firmly stuck to the accelerator.
"The suspect was still at large as of early Thursday morning."
Mostly carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen.
Sorry, that was in bad taste.
Sounds familiar…only SoCal before:

it's incredible just how sick people can get

This is terrible, but I'm at least glad to hear that the SF police are taking the matter seriously. If this were Pittsburgh, I'd expect to see the line "No charges had been filed against the driver", perhaps along with a sarky comment that the bicyclists weren't on the berm.
No cameras anywhere, that they can't nail the guy in at least one instance? This guy needs more than to have his license pulled (assuming he still has one), he needs to be behind bars. Now.
I bet it is just too early to release all that stuff to the public. This part of SF (and almost any part of SF) has tons of storefronts, ATMs and traffic cameras. There is no way this person will get away with it. There is bound to be video of the car.
I really hope those cyclists are okay.
All four cyclists are expected to survive, though three are still hospitalized.

The SF gate stories have a very different tone from the ones in our papers.
